In this article we talk about the Photobucket application developed for Android. As you probably know, Photobucket is an online photo and video sharing website where you can store your photos and share them with your friends. If you have an account on this website and you own a smartphone running on Google’s OS, you might want to check out the Photobucket application which is totally free on the Android Market.

With this software you can do pretty much the same things that you normally do on your PC. In other words, you have the possibility to upload and delete photos, organize photos by creating albums, and even share them online. We like how easy it is to upload photos as you can transfer your entire gallery of photos or videos at once. In addition, the application can be programmed so that every time you make a new photo or record a new video, it will automatically upload it. This feature is especially great if you are on vacation. After each successful upload, you will see a notification in the upper left corner of the display. Make sure that you remember to turn auto-load off whenever you want to take some photos that you don’t want to share.
On top of the screen you’ll notice a button called “My Albums” which is the place where you will have access to your photo collection. By default, you will get to see only the photos that haven’t been assigned yet to an album. For viewing the albums you will have to press the Menu button on your Android device and after that choose Albums from the pop-up menu. We would have preferred a faster way to access the photo albums, but overall we like that the application is very fast when going through the different menus that are available.

With Photobucket you have the possibility to share your photos via Twitter or Facebook, as long as you have accounts on these social networks. In addition, you can send them via e-mail thanks to the built-in file sharing software that the Android operating system provides. The uploading process is easy as all you have to do is select the photos by doing a single tap of the screen and after that tap the menu button and select the desired destination. It shows you the upload progress and whenever a photo is uploaded it will notify you.
We also appreciate that it saves your login info so you won’t have to bother entering passwords for every website. This is a great feature especially for those people that use more than just one media site and want to update the photo collection on all of them at the same time.
